Privacy Policy

Effective date: September 9, 2026

This Privacy Policy explains how NextSelph, Inc. ("NextSelph," "we," "us," or "our") collects, uses, discloses, retains, and protects personal information when you use nextselph.org and the related promotional, waitlist, AI photo, and Future Selves features (collectively, the "Site").

This policy applies to the current NextSelph.org experience. The future NextSelph application may collect different or additional information and will be subject to an updated privacy policy before those practices begin.

Information you provide

Information collected automatically

When you use the Site, we and our service providers may automatically collect limited technical and usage information, such as IP address, browser and device information, request and security logs, authentication activity, and telemetry about how the Site is used. We use this information to operate, secure, troubleshoot, and understand the Site.

We use personal information to:

Your submitted photograph is used to provide the AI photo experience and generate your Selph. NextSelph operates its own image-processing code. We do not send submitted photographs or generated Selphs to a third-party AI model provider for image generation.

NextSelph does not use submitted photographs or generated Selphs to train, fine-tune, evaluate, test, or improve its image-processing models.

We do not use submitted photographs for facial recognition or identity verification. A Selph is an illustrative AI-generated image and is not a medical assessment or prediction of how you will actually look or age.

A Future Selves reel is created only after both eligible participants affirmatively agree to participate. Each participant uses their own NextSelph account and their own photograph. Reels are private and are made available only to the participating users. They are not publicly searchable or publicly posted by NextSelph.

If you choose the "Keep my Selph ready for the app" option, you authorize NextSelph to carry your beta account and completed onboarding state into the later full NextSelph app launch so that you do not need to create a new account or repeat onboarding.

This choice does not control whether your photograph, Selph, or Future Selves reels are available for the current Site while your account remains active. You may end storage and use associated with your account by deleting your account as described below.

We do not sell your personal information. We do not share your personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising.

We may disclose personal information to service providers that process information on our behalf and only as reasonably necessary to provide, secure, and operate the Site. Current categories of providers include:

We may also disclose information if reasonably necessary to comply with law or legal process, protect the rights, safety, or security of NextSelph, our users, or others, investigate fraud or abuse, or in connection with a merger, financing, acquisition, reorganization, or sale of assets, subject to applicable law.

While your account remains active, your account information, submitted photograph, generated Selph, and any Future Selves reels in which you participate remain associated with your account so the current Site features can function. The Site does not currently offer separate deletion of an individual photograph or Selph while the account remains active.

You may delete your account at any time using the account deletion functionality available through the Site. Account deletion removes your account from the active service, including your submitted photograph, generated Selph, and every Future Selves reel containing you. If you later sign up again, you will be treated as a new user and will need to create a new account and repeat onboarding.

Some information may remain for a limited period in routine backups, security logs, or records retained as reasonably necessary for fraud prevention, dispute resolution, legal compliance, or other legitimate operational purposes. Backup copies are not used to restore a deleted account into the active service except where necessary for disaster recovery, and are deleted or overwritten according to our normal backup lifecycle.

We use your email address for account authentication, service-related messages, waitlist and early-access communications, and launch-related updates associated with your signup. Where required by law, we will obtain consent before sending promotional marketing communications. You may opt out of promotional emails by using the unsubscribe mechanism provided in the message. We may still send non-promotional messages necessary to administer or secure your account.

The Site may use cookies or similar technologies that are necessary for authentication, security, fraud prevention, and basic operation of the Site. We and our service providers may also use limited telemetry and similar technologies to understand performance and usage. If we introduce non-essential advertising or marketing technologies that require consent under applicable law, we will provide appropriate notice and choices before using them.

We maintain administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards designed to protect personal information. These include encryption of private media at rest and in transit, access controls, authentication and session protections, network and application security controls, and measures designed to limit unauthorized access to private photographs and reels.

No system can be guaranteed to be completely secure. You should maintain control of the email account you use to access NextSelph and notify us if you believe your account or information has been compromised.

You may delete your NextSelph account using the account deletion functionality available through the Site. You may also contact us to ask questions about your personal information or request access, correction, or deletion where required by applicable law.

Depending on where you live, applicable privacy law may provide additional rights, such as the right to know or access personal information we hold about you, correct inaccurate information, request deletion, receive a portable copy of certain information, or appeal a decision concerning a privacy request. Some rights are subject to exceptions and verification requirements.

Because NextSelph does not sell personal information or share it for cross-context behavioral advertising, we do not currently offer a sale/share opt-out for those practices.

The Site is intended only for adults age 18 and older. Users may not create an account or upload a photograph if they are under 18, and users may not upload a photograph depicting another person or a minor. If we learn that we have collected personal information from a person under 18 in violation of these requirements, we will take reasonable steps to delete it.

NextSelph is based in the United States, and the Site is operated from the United States. If you access the Site from outside the United States, your information may be processed and stored in the United States or other locations where our service providers operate, subject to applicable law.

We may update this Privacy Policy as the Site changes or as required by law. If we make material changes, we will post the updated policy and revise the effective date. Where required by law, we will provide additional notice or request consent before applying a material change to information previously collected.

Before we begin collecting materially different categories of information, including health-related information, via a future NextSelph application, we will update this Privacy Policy to describe those practices.
